Notes of Thanks

Dear Trinity Family,
All of you have been such a blessing to our family during this difficult time. Your outpouring of support for Lauren has been very uplifting. Lauren really appreciates all of the beautiful cards. W e also appreciated the generous gift of money that we are using for travel to Pittsburgh for treatment and for co-pays at the doctor's office and pharmacy. Most of all, we appreciate your prayers for Lauren's recovery. God answered our prayers once and put her cancer in remission, and we ask that you continue to pray that God will heal her once again.
In God's Love,
Ken & Kathy E.

Dear Trinity United Methodist Church Mission Committee:
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your support of Indiana County residents by your generous monetary donations of $300. Indiana County Community Action Program (ICCAP) is a private, nonprofit agency. W e depend upon, and are always grateful for, the support of caring people such as yourself. Thank you for your commitment to being a part of the solution, as we partner to meet the needs of Indiana County's low-income individuals and families.
Sincerely,
Lorna Vite, Executive Director, ICCAP

Dear Friends,
On behalf of Pathway, Indiana County Community Action Program's emergency shelter and the many individuals and families we assist, I want to thank you for your recent donation of $50. Your monetary donation provides for the daily upkeep of the shelter, whether through utility payments, cleaning supplies, or whatever additional needs arise for the residents. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the homeless individuals and families here in Indiana County. W e are all very grateful for your willingness to share.
Sincerely,
Michelle Faugh, ICCAP's Shelter Director

Dear Trinity family,
Thank you for the angel figurine and quote. I appreciate your thoughtfulness and support during these many years of Christmas musicals. I pray that God will continue to show us ways to minister to the young people of our church family.

Dear Friends,
As I sit down to count my blessings this Thanksgiving, I’ll be counting you. Your gift of $100 to help the American Bible Society deliver Bibles to those who need it most is such a blessing, and I’m deeply grateful.
Sincerely,
R. Lamar Vest, President, American Bible Society

Dear Friends,
Thank you for your recent gift to the ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. The Christmas season is a busy time at Samaritan’s Purse. W ith Operation Christmas Child now underway, we are collecting, inspecting, and shipping gift-filled shoe boxes to millions of children across the globe. As we share God’s love with those children, our prayer is that they will come to know Jesus Christ, the “Wonderful Counsel, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6, NIV). We appreciate your prayers and support. May God bless you with a joyous Christmas.
Sincerely,
Franklin G.

Bonnie and I would like to thank you for all the expressions of love during the Christmas season, from the wonderful edible treats, to the gifts and gift cards to the UMW for the Prayer calendar and for all the cards for both Christmas and our Anniversary! May God richly bless you this coming year!
Pastor Greg

Dear Members:
On behalf of the Ruth M. Smith Center I want to thank you for your contribution of $110 to our programs. Your generous support of the facility is so much appreciated. We are so busy this winter. Our Day Care has 32 children in our care every day and our loving and caring staff are over-joyed and pretty much overwhelmed with all the kids. They are getting ready for their
Christmas program, learning Christmas carols. Our residential staff are busy taking care of 26 elderly and disabled adults. The activity director makes every day a true joy for them, between bingo and lunch outings, hairdos and chat and nibble. Again, thank you and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Sincerely yours,
Krista L. Kulka, Administrative Assistant, Ruth M. Smith Center

Dear Trinity United Methodist Church,
Many don't realize how many people The Salvation Army helps at this time of year. W e are truly blessed to live in a community where others are so willing to help those who are less fortunate. Thank you for your donation of $600. Your donation will go far to help many in need this Christmas season and into the New Year. May you be blessed as you join us this year in service to the community in Indiana County. Year round our food bank is opened every business day. The money raised at our kettles and through donations like yours will directly impact someone's life here in this area. Our feeding programs feed about 70 persons a week a hot meal. As you serve, consider them. They are the working poor, the displaced, the lonely and impoverished. They are your "neighbors." "Whatever you do unto the least of these brothers of mine you have done unto me," said Jesus.
May God richly bless you this Christmas season and into 2010!
Daniel R. English, Captain, The Salvation Army

My Christmas holiday was a joyous one as I celebrated in my new house. Thank you to all who helped in my move. To those of you who prayed, who collected boxes, who gave me gifts and who helped in the move – I count you among my greatest blessings in 2009. You are in my prayers.
Mary Hunter
